New Delhi: Apple on Tuesday unveiled a host of artificial intelligence-driven features across its services ecosystem, bringing major upgrades to Maps, Wallet, Find My, Podcasts, iCloud, and Fitness+ as part of its latest software updates.
The technology giant said the new capabilities are aimed at making everyday tasks more intuitive, personalized, and convenient for users across Apple devices.
Announcing the updates, Eddy Cue said Apple remains focused on delivering innovative experiences to hundreds of millions of users through its expanding services platform.
One of the standout additions is an enhanced Flyover experience in Apple Maps. Powered by artificial intelligence and advanced aerial imagery, the feature will offer richer and more realistic views of selected cities worldwide, allowing users to virtually explore destinations before visiting them.
Apple Maps is also introducing a new Local Lists feature for users in the United States. The tool will highlight curated recommendations based on local trends, making it easier to discover popular restaurants, attractions, and family-friendly destinations. Apple emphasized that the recommendations are generated with strong privacy safeguards and are not tied to individual user data.
The Find My service is receiving expanded location-sharing options, giving users more control over how long their location remains visible to friends and family. Users will be able to share their location for a set number of minutes, hours, days, or until a specified date and time. The update also allows temporary pauses in location sharing for selected contacts, a feature Apple says will be useful for travel, events, and surprise planning.
For Apple Watch users, separate apps for finding devices, items, and people are being merged into a single Find My application. The redesigned app features a map-centric interface and includes tools such as directions, sound alerts, contact details, and Precision Finding support for compatible products, including paired iPhones, AirTags, and AirPods.
Apple Wallet is also gaining a major upgrade through AI-powered bill splitting with Apple Cash. Leveraging Apple Intelligence, users can scan receipts using their iPhone camera or upload images of bills. The system can automatically identify individual items, calculate each person's share—including taxes and tips—and facilitate direct payments through Apple Cash.
According to Apple, the new features reflect its broader strategy of integrating artificial intelligence into everyday services while maintaining strong privacy protections. The company believes these enhancements will simplify common tasks and create a more seamless experience across its ecosystem.
With AI becoming a central focus across the technology industry, Apple's latest updates signal a deeper push toward intelligent, context-aware services that can assist users in managing travel, payments, location sharing, and daily activities more efficiently.
