New Delhi — realme has reported a strong market response for its latest smartphone, the realme 16 5G, which has recorded 150 per cent higher sales compared to its predecessor.
The company said the impressive growth reflects strong demand, especially among young users looking for a mix of performance, design, and practical innovation.
At the core of the device is its AI-powered photography system. The phone features a dual 50MP camera setup, including a Sony IMX852 rear sensor and a 50MP front camera, aimed at delivering detailed portraits with natural tones and balanced lighting across different conditions.
realme has also introduced several user-friendly features to enhance the photography experience. These include a rear selfie mirror with Aura Ring Flash, gesture-based “Say Hi” capture, and voice countdown, making it easier to take photos in social settings.
The camera system is further supported by the LumaColor IMAGE engine, Vibe Master Mode, and AI Edit Genie, allowing users to quickly edit and customise images and videos.
On the hardware front, the realme 16 5G comes with a slim “Air Design” and a premium-style camera module. It packs a large 7000mAh battery with 60W fast charging, along with IP69-rated durability, positioning it as a reliable option for long-term usage.
Running on realme UI 7.0, the device is designed to offer a smooth and consistent user experience.
The smartphone is available in Air White and Air Black colour options via realme’s official website, Flipkart, and offline retail outlets.
With this strong early performance, the realme 16 5G is shaping up to be a popular choice in its segment, continuing the brand’s momentum in the competitive smartphone market.
