Dream of Swaraj of Mahatma Gandhi still relevant: Sudesh

Ranchi: AJSU supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto said that the concept of Swaraj as dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi was still relevant.

Participating in the Swaraj Swabhimaan Janadesh Yatra organised by the party on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji he said that the purpose of the programme was to spread the message of Bapu and take his ideals forward.

He said that the sole purpose of his political journey was to ensure that government and administration comes to the doors of the people.

He said that the purpose of the yatra was to raise the voices of the villages so that they can get their rights and also their honour is maintained. He said that Swaraj and Swabhimaan were the core issues of the politics of his party and said that if the state belongs to the people than they are the ones who should rule.

He said that the workers of the AJSU party have taken out this yatra only to take forward the ideals and thoughts of Gandhiji in the entire state and was also a means to take a pledge that ground issues of Jharkhand will never be neglected.

Mr Mahto himself participated in pad-yatra programmes organised in Tamar and Silli Vidhan Sabha areas.
