IIIT Ranchi student’s Team NAV-X won First Prize at HAANDII-X 2026 organized by JUT 

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi Team NAV-X secured the First Prize in the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation category at HAANDII-X 2026, organized by Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, on September 18 and 19. The team won a cash prize of ?50,000 for securing the first position. The competition witnessed participation from talented student teams representing various institutions across Jharkhand.

Team NAV-X comprised Shakti Kumar Suraj, Akshat Tanna, Rishik Majhi, Akshat Goyal, and Krish Patidar. The team impressed the jury with its innovative and technical solution and secured the top position through an effective presentation of its work.

During the competition, participants were challenged to transform their ideas into practical and effective solutions within a limited timeframe. Team NAV-X demonstrated its technical expertise, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through the stages of brainstorming, solution development, technical refinement, and final presentation.

Prof. Rajeev Srivastava, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi, congratulated all the members of Team NAV-X on their remarkable achievement and appreciated their efforts. He encouraged the students to continue pursuing innovation, research, and technological development and to transform new ideas into practical solutions. He also wished the students continued success and emphasized that such achievements inspire other students to explore technology and innovation.

The achievement was supported by the valuable guidance of the team's mentor, Dr. Dhiran Kumar Mahto. His mentorship, continuous support, and encouragement played an important role in helping the team perform effectively throughout the different stages of the competition.

Dr. Roshan Singh, President of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC), IIIT Ranchi also congratulated the team members and appreciated their dedication and efforts.

The success at HAANDII-X 2026 reflects the technical talent, spirit of innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities of the students of IIIT Ranchi. The achievement of Team NAV-X is expected to encourage more students of the institute to participate in technological innovation and competitive platforms.
