
Deoghar. Police have solved the sensational murder case of a youth whose body was found near Singhania Rice Mill under Madhupur police station area. Investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly murdered by his own friends over a financial dispute. One accused has been arrested, while another is still on the run.According to police, on May 6, 2026, the body of an unidentified youth was recovered from bushes near a field close to Singhania Rice Mill at Aamtalla Bhedwa in Madhupur. The victim had severe injuries on his forehead caused by a blunt object, leaving his face soaked in blood. Local residents were contacted for identification, but the body could not be identified initially. The body was later sent to Sadar Hospital, Deoghar for postmortem examination.Later in the evening, the deceased was identified as Aman Ansari, son of Mohammad Alauddin Ansari, a resident of Belpara. Following the identification, the victim’s father lodged a written complaint at Madhupur police station. Based on the complaint, Madhupur Police Station Case No. 96/2026 was registered under Sections 103(1)/3(5) of the BNS.Considering the sensitivity of the case, a special investigation team was formed on the instructions of SP Praveen Pushkar. During investigation, based on technical evidence, human intelligence and sustained raids, police arrested 19-year-old Mohammad Faizan, son of late Mohammad Karim, a resident of Navi Baks Road near the graveyard in Madhupur. During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in the murder.Police investigation further revealed that the victim and the accused were friends and were allegedly involved in petty theft activities together. A dispute over money transactions later escalated into enmity. During questioning, Faizan reportedly told police that his associate Sufiyan had earlier expressed intentions to kill Aman. On the day of the incident, both accused allegedly took Aman on a motorcycle ride, offered him food and drinks, and later took him to the isolated spot where he was murdered.Police recovered the motorcycle used during the incident, a Vivo mobile phone belonging to the accused, and the clothes worn by him at the time of the crime. Efforts are underway to arrest the absconding accused.The raid team included Madhupur police station in-charge Santosh Kumar Gupta, ASI Dharmveer Bhagat, ASI Ashok Kumar and armed police personnel.
