Minor’s body found on school campus in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A wave of shock and tension swept through Sopodera under Parsudih police station area on Saturday after the body of a minor girl was recovered from the premises of Rajkiya Madhya Vidyalaya, triggering panic and outrage among local residents.

The grim discovery was made in the morning, drawing a large crowd of villagers to the school campus and sparking demands for swift action against those responsible for the heinous crime.According to Parsudih police station in-charge Avinash Kumar, preliminary investigation has ruled out sexual assault, contrary to initial speculation. 

Police suspect the girl was murdered by strangulation, though officials said the exact cause of death and the circumstances leading to the incident will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is received.The body has been sent for autopsy, while efforts are underway to establish the victim’s identity, which remained unknown several hours after the incident. 

Police are reviewing records of missing minor girls from nearby police station areas and questioning local residents to gather crucial leads.The discovery of the body inside a government school campus has intensified public anger, with villagers and local panchayat representatives demanding the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. Residents have also called for increased police patrolling and stricter surveillance to curb criminal activity and restore a sense of security in the area.
