
Deoghar. The 165th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Gita Devi DAV Public School, Bhandarkola on Friday. Floral tributes were offered at the statue of the legendary poet in the school campus.The programme began with Principal Mohammad Mustafa Majid, teachers Parth Guha, Abhishek Surya, Neelam Chaudhary and students paying floral homage to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. A special meeting was also organised to discuss his invaluable contribution to literature, education and nation building.Addressing the gathering, Principal Mohammad Mustafa Majid said that Rabindranath Tagore was not only a visionary poet but also a philosopher, educationist, humanist thinker and Nobel Prize winner whose words continue to inspire generations. He said Tagore’s ideas motivate students towards creativity, morality and patriotism while guiding society towards a better future.During the programme, students recited Tagore’s literary works and shared inspiring incidents from his life. The entire campus reflected a spirit of learning and cultural pride throughout the celebration.The programme concluded with the national anthem. Media in-charge Abhishek Surya shared the information.
