
Ranchi: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda chaired the meeting of DISHA at the collectorate here during which discussion was held on the execution of various schemes in the district.
The meeting was also attended by Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, all the MLAs, Mayor and Deputy Mayor of RMC and other heads of various departments.
In the meeting Mr Munda detail about the purpose behind this meeting and said that in the next gathering discussion would be held over the map of the district so that the gaps in the different districts can be analyzed and pointed that by only establishing proper coordination between the various departments the schemes can be successfully realised on the ground.
During the meeting, Ranchi DC gave detailed information regarding the various schemes which have been executed in the district. He said that in the index of aspirational districts Ranchi was currently at the 8th position whereas under MNREGA 2860 schemes have been completed whereas under PMAY the district was at the 6th position. On the other hand, he said that 8971 Sakhi mandals have been provided revolving funds and benefits of various social security schemes were being provided to 127 960 beneficiaries.
Reviewing the execution of the schemes being operated by the Ranchi municipal corporation he said that by the year 2022 all the people have to be provided homes, therefore, every year 3000 homes should be constructed.
The officials of the municipal corporation informed that so far 6404 homes have been constructed whereas under the Swachh Bharat Mission Ranchi has been declared ODG Plus and in the index of cleanliness the state capital stood at the 46th position among 4000 cities.
During the review of the drinking water arrangements, Mr Munda asked all the members to submit detailed information regarding the different sources from which water is provided in Ranchi district, on the other hand under Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Yojana he directed to provide basic amenities of life in the villages on par with the cities.
During the meeting all the members were asked to submit a written proposal regarding the suggestions and the works which needed to be executed in their areas.
