Jharkhand Leader of Opposition and BJP state president Babulal Marandi on Monday visited the residence of late minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu in Giridih and offered his condolences to the bereaved family.

Marandi paid floral tribute to the late minister and observed a moment of respect at his portrait. The atmosphere at the residence remained sombre as family members and well-wishers mourned the loss.

During his visit, Marandi met Sonu’s wife and children and expressed his deep sympathy. He offered words of support to the family and assured them that he would stand by them during this difficult period. He also prayed for the departed leader’s soul to rest in peace.

Describing Sonu’s sudden death as an irreparable loss for Jharkhand, Marandi said the late minister had played an important role as a young and active public representative.

He said Sonu had made a significant contribution to society and the state during his political career and that his untimely death had created a void in both the political and social spheres of Jharkhand.

Sonu’s sudden demise has triggered an outpouring of grief across the state, with leaders from different political parties, elected representatives and members of social organisations expressing their condolences.

Several political and social figures have also been visiting the bereaved family to pay their respects, reflecting the wide impact of the young leader’s death on Jharkhand’s public and political life.

Marandi’s visit came amid these continuing condolence meetings, as the family receives visitors and mourns the loss of a leader whose political career was still in its early stages.
