
Deoghar. Akhil Bharatvarshiya Brahmin Mahasabha and Marwari Brahmin Sangh have called for raising the social, educational and economic issues of the Brahmin community at the national level. The organisations expressed concern over the condition of economically weaker families, priests, people associated with Sanskrit and Vedic education, and unemployed youth.General Secretary Hariom Sharma and Organisation Secretary Acharya Visan said a large number of Brahmin families across the country are facing financial hardship, unemployment, lack of higher education opportunities and social neglect. They added that priests and ritual-performing families living in rural areas are surviving under extremely difficult conditions.During the meeting, emphasis was laid on launching national-level initiatives for the welfare of the community. Key issues discussed included scholarship schemes for economically weaker students, pension and social security for priests and Sanskrit scholars, employment and skill development programmes for youth, preservation of Sanskrit and Vedic education, and strengthening organisational unity within the community.The meeting also stressed increasing the participation of women and youth, along with encouraging the community’s active role in social harmony and nation-building.
Marwari Brahmin Sangh president Gopal Krishna Sharma said the Brahmin community has always contributed to education, culture, social service and nation-building. He said the issues faced by the community should be viewed from a social and national perspective rather than a political one.It was also decided that national conferences, seminars, youth conventions and awareness campaigns would be organised in the coming days to effectively present the community’s concerns before the government and the country.The organisation appealed to Brahmins across the country to work together for education, service, values and social harmony.
