Jamshedpur: XLRI – Xavier School of Management and Adviya Institute of Coaching and Mentoring LLP have joined hands to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Coaching and Mentoring, aimed at advancing human-centred leadership development in the era of artificial intelligence.
The non-commercial initiative will serve as a dedicated platform for research, executive education and thought leadership, focusing on ethical, reflective and evidence-based coaching and mentoring practices. Designed to bridge academic scholarship with practitioner insights, the Centre seeks to equip leaders and organisations to navigate complexity, enhance adaptability and foster resilient leadership cultures.
The CoE will undertake applied research on coaching and mentoring outcomes, develop executive education and certification programmes, and organise workshops, conferences and policy advisory initiatives.
It will also support collaborative projects to pilot, evaluate and scale innovative leadership development models across industries.
Dr. (Fr.) George Sebastian, SJ, Director of XLRI, said the Centre reflects the institution’s enduring commitment to nurturing leadership that is both humane and grounded in academic rigour. He noted that the collaboration would generate meaningful knowledge and practical learning to address the evolving leadership challenges of modern organisations.
Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Founder Director of Adviya IOCM, described the partnership as an important platform for scholars and practitioners to co-create impactful solutions and translate research into meaningful organisational practices.
Dr. Sai Bhargavi, who will co-lead the Centre’s research initiatives, emphasized the growing importance of human-centred development approaches in helping leaders and teams navigate change with resilience, adaptability and purpose.
The collaboration marks another significant milestone in XLRI’s continued efforts to advance responsible leadership and institution-building through globally relevant and socially conscious initiatives.
