School Theft Case Cracked in Three Days, Three Held

Deoghar: Sarath Police have solved a theft case at a government school within three days of its registration, arresting three accused, including a juvenile, and recovering most of the stolen items.According to police, Panchanand Rai, headmaster of Middle School, Karma, lodged a written complaint at Sarath Police Station on June 11, alleging that computer equipment and related accessories had been stolen from the school's computer room. Based on the complaint, a case was registered against unknown persons.
Acting on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a special investigation team was formed under the leadership of Sarath Police Station in-charge Deepak Kumar Sah. Using technical evidence and local intelligence inputs, the team identified the suspects and conducted raids on June 14.
During the operation, police arrested three persons involved in the crime. The accused have been identified as 19-year-old Shashikant Singh of Karma village, 22-year-old Manish Kumar Rana of Gajiyadih village, and a juvenile. Following their interrogation, the police recovered the stolen property from Shashikant Singh’s house and other locations pointed out by the accused.
The recovered items include two CPUs, one UPS, one printer, one hard disk, three monitors, three batteries, cables, keyboards, two computer mice, a battery charger, an I-Con camera, four pen drives, three mobile phones and two motorcycles.
Police said further legal proceedings are underway. The swift recovery of the stolen school equipment has brought relief to the school administration and local residents, while the prompt action by Sarath Police has been appreciated in the area.
