
Deoghar: The first phase of a three-day Capacity Building Programme, held from June 11 to June 13, 2026, concluded successfully at Geeta Devi DAV Public School, Bhandarkola, located on Satar Road. The programme was organised under the aegis of the Regional Training Centre, Jharkhand Zone-B, and DAV CMC, DAV CAE.
Addressing the valedictory session, Principal Mohammad Mustafa Majid said that teachers must make continuous efforts to acquire new skills and adapt to changing educational needs. He observed that change is the only constant in life and stressed that educators should not only possess knowledge but also develop the skills required to effectively impart it to students. He described teachers as the foundation of nation-building and emphasised the importance of quality education, innovative pedagogy and holistic student development. He urged educators to remain updated and work collectively towards the common goals of DAV institutions.
Prerna Shankhdhar, Principal of B.N. Saha DAV School, Bulaki Road, congratulated all participants, resource persons and master trainers for their contribution to the programme. She encouraged teachers to deepen their subject knowledge and equip themselves to meet the learning needs of 21st-century students.Participants described the programme as an enriching and inspiring experience. They noted that it provided an excellent platform for interaction between experienced educators and newly appointed teachers. Special emphasis was placed on teamwork, strengthening academic and co-curricular activities, and promoting the overall development of students.The training sessions also focused on spoken English, remedial teaching strategies and fostering a scientific temperament among learners. Participants highlighted the practical value of these sessions in enhancing classroom effectiveness. The successful conduct of the programme was also attributed to the significant support of Sachin Garg, Principal of B.N. Saha DAV Public School, Giridih.
Meanwhile, training for EEDP teachers was conducted at Geeta Devi DAV Public School, Castor Town, under the guidance of Principal Shubhashish Chattoraj. That programme also concluded successfully on Friday.
The final day began with a yajna and havan ceremony, followed by subject-wise group photography. The programme concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Path. The information was shared by media in-charge Abhishek Surya.
