Deputy Commissioner Reviews Recruitment Process for Chowkidar and Home Guard Posts

Deoghar: A review meeting on the recruitment of Chowkidars and Home Guards was held at the Collectorate on Friday under the joint chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania and Superintendent of Police Praveen Pushkar.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress made so far in the direct recruitment process for vacant Home Guard and Chowkidar posts. He directed officials concerned to ensure that all stages of the recruitment process are completed within a fixed timeline and in a transparent manner.
Emphasizing efficiency and accountability, he instructed officials to set clear deadlines for key tasks such as receiving applications, scrutiny of documents and physical verification of candidates. He said a time-bound approach would help ensure smooth and fair completion of the recruitment process.
The Deputy Commissioner also stressed the use of modern technology during physical efficiency tests. He directed officials to use RFID technology for monitoring races and other physical events. The technology will enable accurate digital recording of candidates’ performances, enhancing transparency and credibility in the selection process.
The meeting also reviewed preparations related to application management, scrutiny and physical verification of applicants. Officials were instructed to complete all necessary arrangements for conducting physical and written examinations in a fair and impartial environment within the stipulated timeframe.Among those present at the meeting were Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, Additional Collector Hira Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer Ravi Kumar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Headquarters DSP, Home Guard Commandant, General Branch In-charge, Assistant Public Relations Officer and officials and staff of the concerned departments.
