Every Citizen Has a Vital Role in Building a Developed India: Union Minister of State for Defence

Deoghar,Addressing journalists at the BJP office in Deoghar on Saturday, Union Minister of State for Defence said that the vision of a Developed India by 2047 is not merely a government objective but a collective aspiration of 1.4 billion Indians. He emphasized that the country's rapid progress is driven by the active participation of its citizens and that every individual's contribution strengthens India's journey towards becoming a developed nation.
Speaking during the media interaction, the minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has successfully balanced development with the preservation of its rich cultural and historical heritage. Significant efforts have been made to conserve and modernize religious, cultural and historical sites across the country. The transformation of major pilgrimage destinations and heritage locations has not only enhanced visitor facilities but has also boosted tourism and created new economic opportunities for local communities.
The minister stated that the central government has spent the past 12 years focusing on service, good governance and the welfare of the poor. Guided by the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, the government has worked to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society.Highlighting key welfare initiatives, he said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has helped millions of families secure permanent housing. The Ujjwala Yojana has improved the lives of women by providing cleaner cooking fuel, while the Ayushman Bharat scheme has expanded access to quality healthcare for economically weaker sections. Through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers have received direct financial assistance, strengthening the rural economy and supporting agricultural growth.
He also noted that the Jal Jeevan Mission has significantly improved access to safe drinking water in rural areas, contributing to better living standards and public health outcomes. According to him, the impact of these welfare programmes is visible across the country.Speaking about youth empowerment, the minister said that initiatives such as Startup India, Skill India, Mudra Yojana and Digital India have created new avenues for employment and self-employment. These programmes have encouraged innovation, entrepreneurship and skill development, enabling young people to become active contributors to the nation's growth. He added that India has emerged as a global leader in digital innovation and technology-driven governance.
The minister further emphasized the government's commitment to women's empowerment through various social and economic initiatives. He said that the National Education Policy has introduced significant reforms aimed at preparing students for future opportunities, while social security and welfare schemes have benefited various sections of society.He said that flagship programmes such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local, Make in India and PM Gati Shakti have accelerated India's economic transformation. Remarkable progress has been achieved in manufacturing, infrastructure development, logistics and defence production, strengthening India's position as a major global economic power.
The Union Minister of State for Defence stated that the past 12 years have been dedicated to nation-building, public welfare and inclusive development. He expressed confidence that with the continued support and participation of citizens, India will successfully achieve its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
