
Deoghar:Batters dominated the fourth day of the Late Bardhan Khawade Trophy as fans witnessed a series of high-scoring and exciting matches at KKN Stadium. Boundaries and sixes entertained the crowd throughout the day as players displayed aggressive batting and disciplined bowling performances.In the opening match, Mohanpur Tigers defeated Maa Mansa Orange Lions by 9 wickets in a one-sided contest. Batting first, Maa Mansa Orange Lions scored 116 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 10 overs. Manish Kumar played a quick innings of 41 runs off 20 balls, including four sixes. For Mohanpur Tigers, Shubham Tiwari and Ritesh Kumar Chandan picked up two wickets each.Chasing the target, Mohanpur Tigers completed the victory in just 7.4 overs. Mithilesh Mehra emerged as the star performer of the match with a blistering knock of 72 runs off 28 balls, smashing eight sixes. Amar Kumar also contributed with a rapid 27 runs off 9 balls to guide the team comfortably to victory.In the second match, Badshah XI defeated Mukesh Flower by 7 wickets. Batting first, Mukesh Flower posted 133 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Badshah XI chased down the target in only 7.5 overs with an aggressive batting display. Prabhat hammered 61 runs off just 19 balls with the help of eight sixes, while Shri Verma added 36 runs. The bowlers of Mukesh Flower struggled to stop the flow of runs.The third match saw Trikal XI defeat Kailasha Fighter by 5 wickets. Batting first, Kailasha Fighter were bowled out for 88 runs in 9.4 overs. Bittu Singh scored 24 runs while Manish Pandey contributed 21. Kundan Yadav and Ajit Yadav delivered effective bowling performances for Trikal XI.Chasing the modest target, Trikal XI got off to a flying start. Loknath Kumar smashed 50 runs off just 16 balls, including six massive sixes. His explosive innings helped the team seal victory in 8.3 overs.The explosive half-centuries by Mithilesh Mehra, Prabhat and Loknath Kumar remained the major highlights of the day.
