Brahma Kumaris Deoghar, AIIMS Deoghar and the Indian Red Cross Society jointly organised a blood donation camp at Anand Bhawan, the Brahma Kumaris service centre in Jhonsagadhi, on Sunday. The camp was held to mark the 19th death anniversary of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, observed as World Brotherhood Day.

A total of 34 people donated blood during the camp, making it an important community initiative aimed at strengthening the availability of blood for patients in need.

The camp was particularly significant for AIIMS Deoghar as it was the institute's first outdoor blood donation drive since the inauguration of its blood bank on June 2.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp in the presence of BK Rita, head of the Brahma Kumaris service centre; Dr Indranil, head of the AIIMS Deoghar blood bank; Red Cross chairman Jitesh Rajpal; vice-chairman Piyush Jaiswal; Tarachand Jain; Ranjan; Sangeeta Sultania and Sanjay Mishra, among others.
