Ranchi: In a major setback to jailed former Chief secretary Sajal Chakraborty the Jharkhand High Court rejected his bail in a fodder
scam case. The Court of Justice Aparesh Singh rejected the bail petition of Mr Chakraborty.
Lawyers of the former Chief secretary had it before the court to grant him bail citing is health and age condition. On the other hand the counsel of the CBI had opposed the bail stating that on the health issues he was being treated at RIMS Ranchi.
The court accepted the arguments of the CBI and rejected his bail. Mr Chakraborty for the last 14- 15 months is in jail in connection with a fodder scam case and was being currently being treated in RIMS Ranchi.
