Health Minister has been cheating doctors for three years say officials of IMA-Jhasa, Banna Gupta talks about the interest of doctors only in his speech

Ranchi: The doctors of the state are angry with Health Minister Banna Gupta as according to them the health minister of the state has cheated him on many issues. In every program of doctors, he talks about their interests but his words have proved to be just air. The opinion emerged in a joint meeting of the executive body of IMA and JHASA.

In the meeting, the office bearers jointly said that Health Minister Banna Gupta, who talked about the interests of the doctors, gave only airy assurances. It has been three years since the formation of the government, but neither the MPA was implemented nor the Clinical Establishment Act was implemented. State President of IMA Dr AK Singh said that the government has started looking at doctors with inferiority complexes.

The Health Minister begins his speech in every program of doctors that he will implement the Medical Protection Act and Clinical Establishment Act in the interest of doctors but this is said only to dupe the doctors. It has been three years since the government was formed, but till now neither the MPA nor the CEA has been implemented.

IMA State Secretary Dr Pradeep Singh gave an ultimatum to the government and said that if the government does not take initiative to implement MPA or CEA in 20 days, then IMA and JHASA will jointly agitate in an extreme manner. It will be started with OPD boycott across the state.

Also, on February 13, a memorandum will be handed over to the administration in all the districts of the state. Various points were discussed during the meeting, in which along with the implementation of the Medical Protection Act, Clinical Establishment Act, opposition was also expressed on the indecent remarks made by Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari on the civil surgeon there. 

Compensation was demanded from the government for the death of Dr Saurabh Sharma in a road accident in Ranchi and for the couple killed in a hospital fire in Dhanbad. Dr Pradeep Singh said that the attitude of the government towards the doctors is not good.

Two major incidents happened in Dhanbad within 10 days. Earlier, there was fire in Hazra Clinic of Dhanbad, in which the doctor couple also died. After this the Dhanbad apartment caught fire. Apart from the minister-MLAs, the CM also reached Dhanbad and made several announcements.

The government also announced compensation for those who died in the apartment fire. But the government is still silent on the death of the doctor couple. They demanded from the government that the doctor couple should also get proper compensation. 

Jharkhand IMA Women’s Wing President Dr. Bharti Kashyap said that the government should give proper government compensation for the death of the doctor couple of Dhanbad. Along with this, after the death of Dr Saurabh, his wife Dr Khushbu should get a government job with compensation.
