John Abraham on Force 3: 'We’re taking the legacy forward in a big way'

Mumbai: John Abraham is back in action mode as he begins shooting for Force 3, the third installment of the popular action franchise. The film, which also stars Harshvardhan Rane and Tanya Maniktala, is currently in its first schedule and is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2027.

Speaking about the project, John shared that the Force franchise has always been close to his heart. He emphasized that its gritty tone and strong identity have resonated with audiences over the years. With Force 3, he aims to elevate that legacy on a much larger scale.

He also expressed excitement about introducing Harshvardhan Rane as an action hero, noting that the actor brings the right mix of energy, screen presence, and determination to thrive in this genre.

Directed by Bhav Dhulia—known for Khakee: The Bihar Chapter and The Freelancer—the film promises high-octane action and an engaging storyline. John will reprise his role as ACP Yashvardhan Singh, while Harshvardhan’s character remains under wraps. Tanya Maniktala will play the female lead.

Harshvardhan described being part of Force 3 as a privilege, calling it an opportunity to explore an intense, action-driven role. He also praised John Abraham for carving a unique path in the industry and expressed admiration for Bhav Dhulia’s vision.

Tanya, too, shared her excitement, highlighting the opportunity to work alongside two strong performers. She added that being part of such a well-established franchise is a significant milestone in her career.

For Bhav Dhulia, the film carries emotional value as well. Having assisted late director Nishikant Kamat on the original Force, he said working on Force 3 feels like coming full circle. He recalled instantly connecting with the script and is eager to bring the story to life.

The film is jointly produced by John Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Sheel Kumar’s Karolina Corporation. Backed by producers Sheel Kumar, Shahbaz Alam, John Abraham, Sandeep Leyzell, and Minnakshi Das, Force 3 features music by Ravi Basrur and lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

With a strong team, fresh additions, and a proven legacy, Force 3 is shaping up to be a major action entertainer when it hits theatres in 2027.
