
Ranchi: Chief Secretary DK Tiwari held a high-level review meeting at the project building here to assess the preparations for the oath-taking ceremony of Chief Minister (Designate) Hemant Soren and issued necessary instructions to the officials and the departments concerned.
Over the preparations for the programme and that for after the event was also given by him and he directed that coordination should be maintained at all levels. He directed the officials to make sure that all the facilities as per the protocol is provided to the VVIPs and also asked the officials to look into the facilities for the VIPs and the common people who will be participating in the programme.
Mr Tiwari said that a contact person should be appointed who would look into the welcome, accommodation and their transportation to and fro from the event spot. He said that the contact person will remain in touch with the identified state guest and will look into all their facilities after the arrival in the state and till their departure.
He said that to ensure that guests coming from South India do not face any problems officials who can speak and understand english better should be appointed. He also directed the DGP to make elaborate security arrangements at the places of stay of the VVIPs along with their departure spots.
The DGP said that the entire security would be supervised by IG Naveen Kumar Singh. He said that before the arrival of the VVIPs the state police will do a dry run to assess the preparations.
The Chief Secretary also directed to provide a cardiac ambulance in the carcade of VVIPs. He also instructed to construct a help desk at the airport, control room at the oath-taking venue along with arrangements of fire tenders, toilets and drinking water.
He also directed the town commissioner to look into the cleanliness of the city and also asked to make proper parking arrangements at the venue.
Dr Tiwari said before and after the programme, there should be no problems in commutation, therefore, the traffic police should prepare a traffic plan in advance. He also issued special instructions over the participation of the VIPs in the High Tea to be held at Raj Bhawan and said that senior police and administrative officials should be posted at the Raj Bhawan gate for the event.
