Hemant Oath Ceremony: CM (Designate) asks for books instead of flower bouquets

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister (Designate) Hemant Soren in a unique initiative has asked his well-wishers to give him books instead of flower bouquets.

Hemant Soren on his twitter handle wrote, “friends i am deeply touched with the love and respect being offered by the people of Jharkhand but i want to make a humble request to you all with that instead of flower bouquet they should given ‘books’ full of knowledge...any book of your choice. I feel very bad that i am not able to preserve your flowers,” he tweeted.

He said that in the books to be given by the people they should write their names so that these books can be preserved and used in a library and this gift of the people will continue to enhance the knowledge of all.

Meanwhile, his house located at the Kanke Road of the state capital continued to remain full of people who had lined up to meet him and extend their best wishes to the would-be Chief Minister. Apart from large number of party workers, youth and women also came up to visit their leader.

Later in the day, Mr Soren reached the Albert Ekka Chowk of the state capital where he garlanded the statue of Paramveer Chakra winner Lanc Nayak Alber Ekka on his birth anniversary
