
Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that all-round development of tribal-dominated areas and creating jobs and self-employment for the poor people are among the priorities for the state government as part of which ITI, nursing colleges, skill development centre, Eklavya and Navodaya schools will be opened.
Addressing the South Chottanagpur division level gathering of Ujjwala Didis and distributing the second refill of cylinder among the beneficiaries he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to the state will lay the foundation for the construction of 14 Eklavya Schools along with newly constructed port in Sahibganj.
He said that among the Ujjwala Didis deeds and assets worth Rs 322 crore has been distributed and called upon the people to work together so that in coming years Jharkhand ranks among the developed countries of world as the state was full of numerous opportunities.
The Chief Minister said that he was happy to note that Jharkhand ranked first among the states which provide timely payment to the labourers for which the rural development department needed to be congratulated and also shows the sensitivity towards the workers. He said that in 2019 Jharkhand was ranked 29th in the ease of doing business index and now it was at the 4th position which has been possible due to the cooperation of the people.
Mr Das said that the manner in which the women of the state made a name for themselves by working as women masons it shows that they are no less in any field and it was due to them that Jharkhand became ODF and similarly the Ujjwala Didis will make the state covered under Ujjwala Yojana and will inform the women how to use them safely.
He said that on September 9, 70 sisters of the Sakhi Mandals will be provided training as master trainers who will be later training the Ujjwala Didis. He said that in the entire state the Ujjwala Didis have started their work and said that no without any discrimination holistic development will reach to all.
Mr Das said that Jal Junglee and Zameen were not only slogans but is part of the legacy of the state and said that those who gave the slogans of Jal Junglee and Zameen actually mislead the people while his government conserved it due to which the forest cover in the state which was 29 percent in 2014 has increased to 33 percent in 2019.
He said that those who indulge in slogans of Jal Junglee and Zameen and attack on the culture of the people are anti-development and such forces do not want welfare of tribals and make the community stand in the first row but now the time has come when such forces are told that the community has become aware.
He said in the entire state and 90,000 farmers in Gumla alone have been given the first installment of funds under Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana and a target has been set to give the second installment of funds before Durga Puja as among 35 lakh farmers Rs 3000 crore will be distributed which is meant for accumulating resources for agriculture so that farmers who turned the agricultural growth rate from minus four percent to a positive of 14 percent can be made further empowered.
