CM forms committee under Development Commissioner to look into increase in honorarium for Anganwadi workers

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has formed a committee under the Development Commissioner which will look into the issue of increasing the honorarium of the Anganwadi workers.

The other members of the committee will also include the Additional Chief Secretary Finance and Secretary Finance and on the basis of the report of the committee, the state government will take a decision. He also ordered that age criterion to appoint Anganwadi sevika as lady supervisor be increased and they will be provided insurance cover under Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana and Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

Further, the service tenure has been increased to 62 years while Poshan sakhis will be eligible for special leave. He said that without listening to their side the Anganwadi workers will not be relieved of their jobs and also ordered that in case of a strike as per the rules their honorarium should be paid.
