E rickshaw drivers to gherao CM and hand over keys to him

Ranchi: A meeting of the various E rickshaw driver unions and vehicle owners was held at Morhabadi grounds here during which it was decided that they will be staging the Gherao of the Transport Secretary to be followed by that of the Chief Minister.

In the meeting, it was decided that on September 5th a gherao of the transport secretary would be done at the Birsa Chowk which would be followed by another gherao and this time of Chief Minister Raghubar Das on September 7th.

The agitators said that during gherao of the Chief Minister they would be also handing their keys to him and would urge him to pardon all their loans which they had taken to buy the vehicles.

Further, it was agreed that if their demands are not met than on September 8 all e rickshaw operators along with their families will come on the street and oppose the decisions of the state government.
