Deoghar Airport Revises Parking Rules: Free Drop-offs, ?80 Fee for Commercial Pick-ups

Deoghar: Deoghar Airport has introduced a revised parking policy aimed at improving traffic management and making passenger pick-up and drop-off more convenient.

Under the new rules, all vehicles will be allowed to use the drop-off lane free of charge. However, commercial vehicles using the pick-up lane will have to pay ?80 per visit, while private vehicles will continue to enjoy free pick-up facilities.

The airport authorities have fixed a maximum stopping time of five minutes in both pick-up and drop-off lanes. Vehicles exceeding this limit or violating the prescribed rules may face a penalty of ?500.

For vehicles using designated parking areas, charges will apply according to the approved tariff, depending on the vehicle category and duration of parking. All applicable parking rates are inclusive of GST.

Airport authorities have urged passengers, drivers and members of the public to follow the revised guidelines, use designated parking spaces and avoid unnecessary waiting in the pick-up and drop-off zones.

The revised policy is intended to prevent congestion near the terminal, facilitate smoother vehicle movement and ensure a more convenient experience for passengers arriving at and departing from Deoghar Airport.
