Aditi Rao Hydari Reveals Her Acting Mantra: 'I Listen to the Child Inside Me'

Mumbai: Actress Aditi Rao Hydari believes that instinct, excitement and the joy of exploration play a crucial role in her choice of films. As she prepares for the release of her upcoming film 'Parivarik ManuRanjan', the actress has revealed that she often listens to the child inside her when deciding which projects to take up.

Speaking to IANS alongside her co-star Pankaj Tripathi during the film's promotional activities at a five-star property in Goregaon East, Mumbai, Aditi explained what drew her to the project.

Describing 'Parivarik ManuRanjan' as a sweet, slice-of-life story, she said the film's concept and the opportunity to work with its team were among the key reasons behind her decision.

“I just found it really sweet. It's like a slice of life film story. Also, the people who were involved, I don't usually get stuff like this. Also, an opportunity to work with them. It was all those things that made me want to do this film,” she said.

The actress added that exploring unfamiliar creative spaces keeps her enthusiastic about acting. For her, taking on a different kind of role is an opportunity to experiment, learn and enjoy the process without being overly concerned about the final outcome.

“I think also the fact that as an actor, to just be in a very different kind of space is also a lot of fun. Also, you get to play in a very different kind of way. There was a lightness in it, which I really liked. I just wanted to do it. I didn't think too much. There's an instinct and excitement. I listen to the child inside me. If I'm excited about something, then the journey for me is really important. Because anyway, the result is not in my hands,” she told IANS.

She further emphasised that the experience of making a film matters as much as the finished product. Working with interesting people, embracing new challenges and enjoying the creative journey are what make an experience memorable for her.

“So, if the journey is fun and there's adventure, it's playful and you're learning, and there could be people, I think that's what's very, very important. Because that's what lasts with you,” she added.

'Parivarik ManuRanjan', featuring Aditi Rao Hydari and Pankaj Tripathi, is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV on November 13, 2026.
