Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania on Friday directed officials to speed up the disposal of public grievances, including complaints related to revenue receipts, alleged irregularities in Anganwadi worker selection, and illegal occupation of government forest land.
The instructions were issued during a public grievance hearing chaired by the Deputy Commissioner at the Information Building in Deoghar. Residents from both urban and rural areas raised issues concerning land acquisition and compensation, the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, pensions, housing and other welfare schemes.
The DC heard each complainant individually and assured them that their grievances would be investigated and resolved promptly. Several cases related to ration cards, pensions, the Maiya Samman Yojana and revenue matters were settled on the spot by the departments concerned.
Taking note of a complaint from residents of Mohali Tola in Bagdaha village under Palaojori block, Bhuvania directed the Deputy Development Commissioner to probe alleged irregularities in the selection of an Anganwadi worker.
He also instructed the Divisional Forest Officer to investigate allegations that local land mafias had illegally occupied government forest land in Kenduatand village under Sarath circle and to take necessary action.
Officials were told to expedite all pending cases related to revenue, land reforms and land acquisition, ensure the protection of government property, and submit action-taken reports to the Deputy Commissioner’s office within a week so that the complaints can be effectively monitored.
