The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar, will organise its second convocation on October 10, with Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan attending as the chief guest. Eleven students who have excelled academically will be honoured on stage during the ceremony.
Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav will attend as guests of honour. Godda MP Nishikant Dubey and Rajya Sabha MP Pradip Verma are also expected to attend.
Degrees will be awarded to students from the MBBS, BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing and MD/MS programmes. The ceremony will recognise the achievements of the graduating students and mark another milestone in the institute’s development as a centre for medical education and training.
The convocation also highlights the role of medical institutions in preparing qualified professionals to meet the country’s growing healthcare needs. The graduating students are expected to contribute to healthcare delivery, medical research and patient care in the years ahead.
AIIMS Deoghar is making preparations for the event, while the district administration has reviewed security arrangements, traffic management and other logistical requirements ahead of the Vice-President’s visit.
The institute has congratulated the graduating students and expressed hope that they will use their knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to the nation’s healthcare system.
