Mayor says prompt action taken and urges residents not to believe misleading claims

Deoghar: Residents of the area bordering Wards 19 and 20 faced inconvenience after an illegal stand post was damaged, allowing sewage water to enter the main drinking water pipeline.Mayor Ravi Kumar Raut said he came to know about the incident through social media and immediately directed the concerned officials to take corrective measures. Following the instructions, the damaged section was repaired and the problem has now been resolved.The Mayor said preliminary findings indicate that the incident occurred due to an illegal construction. He added that the civic body responded swiftly and acted responsibly as soon as the matter was brought to its notice.He also expressed concern over attempts by some people to blame him and the municipal administration without verifying the facts. Such allegations, he said, only create confusion among the public and divert attention from the actual cause of the problem.Appealing to citizens, the Mayor urged residents to visit the site and see for themselves how the incident occurred and how quickly the municipal team responded to address the issue.He reiterated that the Deoghar Municipal Corporation remains committed to protecting public health and providing better civic services, and urged people not to be misled by misinformation or baseless propaganda.
