Rahul Dubey, Named Accused in Himanshu Singh Murder Case, Surrenders

Jamshedpur: In a major breakthrough in the investigation into the sensational Himanshu Singh murder case, named accused Rahul Dubey surrendered before the police at Bistupur police station on Friday afternoon.

 He arrived at the police station at around 1 pm and was immediately taken into custody for sustained interrogation. Police officials have launched an intensive round of questioning to ascertain Dubey's exact role in the murder, his alleged involvement in the conspiracy, and his movements before and after the crime.

 Investigators are also examining his alleged links with the other accused already arrested or who have surrendered in connection with the case, while attempting to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the murder.

According to police sources, Dubey is being questioned on multiple aspects of the investigation, including his alleged presence at or near the crime scene, his communication with co-accused, and whether he played any role in planning or facilitating the offence. 

His statement is expected to be matched with evidence already collected, including technical and forensic inputs, to establish the chain of events.The surrender comes amid sustained police action against those named in the case. 

Over the past several days, investigators have intensified raids and searches to trace the remaining accused, increasing pressure on those still absconding. Although there is widespread speculation that the mounting police crackdown prompted Dubey to surrender, officials have declined to comment on the circumstances, maintaining that the investigation is still underway.
