The Dhamaal franchise has always thrived on over-the-top comedy, outrageous situations and complete disregard for logic. With its fourth installment, director Indra Kumar sticks to that winning formula while raising the scale of the madness. The result is a fast-paced comedy adventure that delivers exactly what fans expect—plenty of laughs and wholesome family entertainment.
Story
The story revolves around a century-old treasure hidden by the legendary Shaitaan Singh. The only clue to its whereabouts lies in the fading memory of Prithvi, played by Upendra Limaye. Once the secret gets out, a hilarious race begins as several quirky characters set off in search of the treasure on a mysterious island marked with a giant "M." What follows is a series of mistaken identities, wild chases, jungle escapades and pirate encounters that keep the chaos alive throughout.
Comedy That Rarely Slows Down
The film's biggest strength is its situational humour. Rather than relying on complex storytelling, it embraces absurdity and keeps throwing its characters into increasingly ridiculous scenarios. The first half moves at a brisk pace, offering several callbacks to earlier Dhamaal films that longtime fans are likely to enjoy. While logic takes a back seat, entertainment remains firmly in the driver's seat.
A Strong Ensemble Cast
Ajay Devgn leads the ensemble with confidence, while Sanjay Mishra once again proves why he is among Bollywood's finest comic performers. Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi recreate the effortless chemistry that has become synonymous with the franchise, and Riteish Deshmukh adds his trademark comic flair.
Sanjeeda Shaikh and Anjali Anand complement the male leads well, with Anand bringing plenty of humour to the domestic scenes. Ravi Kishan leaves a lasting impression as the eccentric pirate leader Adhoora, while Upendra Limaye delivers an energetic performance that drives the story forward. Esha Gupta adds glamour and screen presence to the adventure.
Direction, Visuals and Music
Indra Kumar keeps the narrative energetic with a screenplay packed with jokes, action and comic misunderstandings. The jungle and island settings give the film a larger visual canvas, making it an enjoyable theatrical experience. The songs, including "Chatni" and "Qeher," blend naturally into the story and help maintain its lively tone.
Verdict
Dhamaal 4 stays true to the franchise's identity by offering two hours of carefree, family-friendly entertainment. It doesn't aim to be realistic or emotionally profound—it simply wants audiences to laugh, and it succeeds. With its energetic performances, colourful visuals and relentless comedy, the film makes for an enjoyable big-screen outing for viewers of all ages.
If you're looking for a light-hearted entertainer to enjoy with your family, Dhamaal 4 is well worth the watch.
