Tribute Paid to Jawaharlal Nehru on His Death Anniversary in Deoghar

Deoghar: Members of the Deoghar District INTUC and the Deoghar District Congress Scheduled Caste Department paid floral tributes to India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, on his death anniversary at the Kachahari premises in Deoghar.
Among those present on the occasion were Deoghar District INTUC president Anant Mishra, Deoghar District Congress Scheduled Caste Department president Nityanand Sevak, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Munmun Sanjay, Jharkhand Pradesh INTUC secretary Ajay Kumar, district INTUC vice-president Ghanshyam Singh, former Deoghar Nagar Congress Committee president Ravi Gupta, district INTUC secretary Abhishek Singh, Congress leaders Kishore Thakur, Tulsi Poddar, Subodh Rai and Youth Congress member Rajkamal Yadav, along with several others.Addressing the gathering, District INTUC president Anant Mishra said that in today’s era of global competition, the world is once again looking towards Nehru’s principles. He said lasting peace in the world could only be established by following the path shown by Nehru.Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Munmun Sanjay said Nehru’s contribution towards establishing secularism, socialism and democracy in the country was unforgettable.Jharkhand Pradesh INTUC secretary Ajay Kumar described Nehru as a pioneer of world peace, human friendship and high political values. He said Nehru’s principle of coexistence continues to guide the world even today.Deoghar District Congress Scheduled Caste Department president Nityanand Sevak said Jawaharlal Nehru’s contribution to building modern India and enhancing the country’s global stature was unparalleled.
