
Ranchi: In a strong move against crime and absconding offenders, Ranchi Police carried out an extensive special campaign titled “Operation Prahar”, resulting in the arrest of more than 30 criminals within two days. The operation was conducted on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police and supervised by the City and Rural SPs. During the drive, police also managed to execute over 135 pending warrants.
Police officials said the campaign aims to curb criminal activities, speed up the execution of pending warrants, and crack down on organized crime networks operating in the district. “Operation Prahar” is launched periodically with a strategic approach, and raids are often conducted till late night hours.
As part of the second phase of the campaign, police teams conducted raids in different police station jurisdictions across Ranchi district. Several absconding accused, warrant holders, and suspects were taken into custody. Some of the arrested individuals had reportedly been on the run for a long time.
The large-scale operation involved district police officials, including SPs, DSPs, station in-charges, and other police personnel. Ranchi Police has made it clear that such intensive operations against criminals will continue in the future to maintain law and order in the district.
