Administration Cracks Down on Black Marketing of Petrol and Diesel, Strict Action Warned Against Irregularities

Deoghar:The district administration has taken a strict stand to ensure uninterrupted supply of petroleum products and prevent black marketing in Deoghar. In this connection, an important review meeting was held on Thursday at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of DC Shashi Prakash Singh. Representatives of Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Reliance, Nayara Energy and all petrol pump operators of the district participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the availability, supply system and consumption of petrol and diesel in the district. Officials of IOCL assured the DC that petrol and diesel are being supplied to all fuel stations on time and that there is no shortage of fuel in the district. They informed that adequate stock is available at all petrol pumps.DC Shashi Prakash Singh directed all petroleum companies to ensure that there is no disruption in the supply chain. He stated that consumers should not face any inconvenience and normal operations must continue smoothly at all fuel stations.

Strict Instructions Against Black Marketing
The DC expressed serious concern over hoarding and illegal sale of petroleum products. He directed the SDOs of Deoghar and Madhupur to maintain strict surveillance over petrol pumps in their respective areas. He instructed officials to immediately investigate any complaint related to black marketing, overpricing or artificial shortage of fuel and ensure prompt legal action, including registration of FIRs against those involved.

Public Asked to Report Irregularities on Helpline 112
The DC appealed to citizens not to pay attention to rumours. He said that if any petrol pump is found indulging in short supply, refusal to provide fuel, creating unnecessary panic or any kind of irregularity, citizens can directly report the matter on emergency helpline number 112. He assured that the administration would take immediate action on such complaints.The meeting was attended by the SDOs of Deoghar and Madhupur, District Transport Officer, Assistant Public Relations Officer and other concerned officials.
