IMD Extends Storm Alert Over Jharkhand Till May 19

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand is set to witness more unsettled weather, with rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds likely across several districts over the next few days. While the showers may bring temporary relief from the rising heat, the unseasonal weather is emerging as a growing concern for farmers already grappling with crop-related challenges.

According to the latest weather forecast, Ranchi and adjoining districts are expected to experience intermittent rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and winds reaching speeds of 40–50 Kmph.

The changing weather pattern is being driven by atmospheric instability, even as daytime temperatures continue to remain high in many parts of the state. For residents, the rain offers a welcome break from the summer heat.

However, for farmers, the combination of sudden showers, strong winds and fluctuating temperatures is threatening standing crops and disrupting harvesting activities.Weather officials have advised people to remain cautious during thunderstorms and urged farmers to take necessary precautions to minimize crop damage as Jharkhand braces for another spell of unpredictable weather.
