
Jamshedpur: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi has released its Final Placement Report for the 2025–26 academic session, reflecting a year of robust growth, rising compensation levels, and deeper corporate engagement across programmes.
Record Offers and Upward Salary Trends
The highlight of the season came from the Executive MBA (EMBA) 2024–26 summer batch, where a student secured an exceptional Rs 1.2 crore package for a leadership role. In the flagship MBA programme, the highest package stood at Rs 52.50 lakh per annum, underlining sustained recruiter confidence.
The report, unveiled on Wednesday , May 6 in the presence of Director Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava and Corporate Relations Chairperson Prof. Rajeev Verma, also noted a 4.19% increase in the highest domestic CTC compared to the previous year.
Larger Batch, Wider Industry Reach
The institute witnessed participation from 96 unique recruiters this year. Batch strength rose by 31.15%, accompanied by notable improvements in PPO percentages and average CTCs across top-performing cohorts.
The Corporate Relations team expanded outreach by engaging 53 new companies and facilitating over 70 leadership talks on campus.
MBA Programme: Consistent Growth Across Metrics
The MBA placement cycle recorded strong outcomes:
Highest package: Rs 52.50 lakh
Average package: Rs 19.24 lakh
Top 25% average: Rs 24.83 lakh
PPO rate: 22.35% (average Rs 19.28 lakh)
Freshers accounted for 72.83% of the batch, while women made up 42.93%. Summer internship stipends also rose significantly by 23.12%, averaging Rs 3.69 lakh.
MBA-HRM: High PPO Conversion and Stability
The MBA in Human Resource Management programme continued to see strong recruiter retention:
PPO rate: 40.54%
Highest package: Rs 22.75 lakh
Average package: Rs 17.74 lakh
Top 25% average: Rs 20.95 lakh
The average PPO package stood at Rs 18.86 lakh.
MBA-BA: Sharp Rise in Top Packages
The MBA in Business Analytics programme recorded a 22.16% jump in its highest package:
Highest package: Rs 32.13 lakh
Average package: Rs 20.99 lakh
Top 25% average: Rs 27.81 lakh
PPO rate: 13.16%
Students were placed across sectors such as consulting, banking, IT & analytics, fintech, and insurance.

The placement season saw participation from leading firms including Amazon, SAP Labs, D. E. Shaw, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, HSBC, Tata Capital, Aditya Birla Group, National Payments Corporation of India, Deloitte, Accenture, Maruti Suzuki, and Cognizant.
