DEOGHAR: –In the holy city of Baba Baidyanath, the soaring temperatures and blistering heat have severely disrupted normal life. To provide much-needed respite to those on the streets, the Deoghar District Youth Congress launched a commendable service initiative. On Thursday, a massive distribution camp for drinking water and lassi was organized near Fawwara Chowk at the Old Bus Stand.
MLA and Workers Lead from the Front
?Pradeep Yadav, the MLA from Poreyahat, specially participated in the program. Alongside party workers, the MLA personally distributed chilled water, cold drinks, lassi, and biscuits to commuters, rickshaw pullers, toto drivers, and traffic police officers on duty. The faces of the people, exhausted by the heat, lit up with relief upon receiving the refreshments.
"The way the sweltering heat has distressed the common man, this effort by the Youth Congress is not only praiseworthy but a true service to humanity. Service to man is service to God."
— Pradeep Yadav, MLA (congress)
Expanding Reach to Other Crossings: Ashish Bhardwaj
Ashish Bhardwaj, the District President of Youth Congress, stated that this was their initial effort to combat the severe heatwave. Sharing future plans, he said the organization now aims to establish permanent or regular cold water stations at various major intersections across the city, ensuring relief for those forced to stay outdoors for daily labor and errands.
