Fatigue Behind the Wheel Leads to Early-Morning Crash in Jamshedpur; Couple Hurt

Jamshedpur: An early-morning accident near Rang Gate under the Jugsalai police station limits left a car severely damaged after it crashed into a roadside tree on Thursday.

The vehicle was carrying a family returning home to Lupungtola in Sarjamda after attending a wedding in Seraikela. Preliminary information suggests that the driver may have briefly fallen asleep due to exhaustion, causing the car to go out of control.

The collision was forceful, leaving the vehicle badly mangled. During the crash, the car also hit a couple riding a motorcycle nearby.

Fortunately, the couple sustained only minor injuries. Local residents quickly reached the spot, helped the injured, and brought the situation under control until additional assistance arrived.

Eyewitnesses said the severity of the accident might have been reduced if the vehicle had been travelling at a slower speed.

The incident underscores the risks associated with drowsy driving and the importance of taking adequate rest, especially during long journeys. Police have begun an investigation and are looking into the driver’s condition and other possible factors behind the crash.
