Ranchi: With the objective of making revenue and land reform-related work more transparent, efficient and time-bound, the Ranchi district administration on Wednesday held a detailed review meeting of revenue work at Room No. 505, Block B of the Ranchi Collectorate. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri.

The review focused on pending revenue cases, particularly filing and disposal matters, demarcation, record correction work, and land reports sought by various departments. Revenue officials, subordinate amins, revenue sub-inspectors and circle inspectors were directed to improve work practices. Special emphasis was laid on the speedy hearing and disposal of non-objectionable cases pending for over 30 days. Issues related to demarcation, record correction and revision, preparation and submission of land reports demanded by departments, and monitoring of cases involving double deposit restrictions were also discussed.

Reiterating the importance of revenue work as a core public service, the Deputy Commissioner said any laxity would invite strict action.
