Ranchi: The Department of Home, Jail, and Disaster Management has released the 34th consolidated list, identifying 6,052 activists linked with the Jharkhand statehood movement. The updated list comes after the reorganization of the Jharkhand Movement Activists Identification Commission. Recognized activists and their dependents will be eligible for monthly pensions, official recognition, and other government facilities.
The activists have been identified across 23 districts. Hazaribagh recorded the highest number with 1,236 names, followed by Ranchi (924), Ramgarh (709), and Deoghar (606). Meanwhile, Pakur (2), Garhwa (6), and Koderma (12) reported the lowest figures.
District-wise numbers include: Bokaro (471), Chatra (73), Deoghar (606), Dhanbad (98), Dumka (24), Jamshedpur (215), Garhwa (6), Giridih (385), Godda (47), Gumla (70), Hazaribagh (1,236), Jamtara (172), Khunti (33), Koderma (12), Latehar (64), Lohardaga (456), Pakur (2), Palamu (73), Ramgarh (709), Ranchi (924), Saraikela (161), Simdega (63), and Chaibasa (152) — totaling 6,052 activists.
