Agriculture Minister Badal emphasizes on making seed distribution campaign a success

Dumka: Jharkhand’s Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh has stressed the need to make the seed distribution campaign a success by ensuring the participation of lamps pax and self-help groups. 

Under the chairmanship of Agriculture Minister Badal a meeting was organized on Friday with the officials of the Santhal pargana divisional level Agriculture Department, Cooperative Department, Animal Husbandry Department and Fisheries Department. Various topics including seed lifting and distribution, millet mission, agriculture loan waiver scheme, drought relief scheme, agriculture infrastructure, marking land for Kisan Pathshala were discussed in detail.

In this sequence, the Agriculture Minister said that while emphasizing on the need to ensure timely distribution of seeds among the farmers and participation of lampx and pax self-help groups in this, he said that eligible and right farmers will get the benefit of the scheme.

For this, he directed the officers to make the seeds available to the farmers on time for distribution of seeds with full transparency. He said that the officials of the Agriculture and Cooperation Department should work in coordination. He expressed dissatisfaction over the seed distribution campaign in the Santal Parganas division. 

He also directed the head and village head at the panchayat level in this campaign. He informed that under the Millet Mission, Madua seeds will be distributed from June 5 to 10. For this, the task of providing seeds to the farmers will be ensured by identifying them on time.
