Ranchi: The AJSU Party has stepped up efforts to strengthen its organisational presence at the grassroots level in Ranchi. As part of this initiative, the party held a meeting of its Ranchi district working committee at its central office in Harmu on Wednesday. AJSU central president Sudesh Kumar Mahto attended the meeting, which focused on organisational strengthening, greater participation of party workers and issues concerning the public.

Addressing the gathering, Mahto recalled the party's role in the Jharkhand movement and the struggle for the creation of a separate state. He said the party's struggle did not end with the formation of Jharkhand, but continued with its commitment to building a better future for the state, particularly for its youth.

The meeting emphasised strengthening the organisation down to the booth level, assigning greater responsibilities to workers and expanding the party's outreach among ordinary people. Discussions were also held on upcoming political programmes and issues related to public welfare.

The AJSU described itself not merely as a political party but as an organisation rooted in the Jharkhand movement, with its own policies and ideology.

The party also raised questions over the issuance of traffic challans worth crores of rupees in Ranchi during Durga Puja for alleged violations of traffic rules, expressing concern over the action.

Besides central office-bearers, public representatives and officials from the Ranchi district and metropolitan units, several party workers attended the meeting. The gathering is being seen as an effort to sharpen the party's organisational network in the state capital and increase its political activity at the grassroots level.
