Ranchi: The ultras belonging to the CPI Maoists have called for a statewide 24-hour Bandh on Sunday to protest against the arrest of their two hardcore members.
As per the statement issued by the Jharkhand Regional Committee of the Maoists, the bandh has been called to protest against the arrest of regional committee member Krishna Hansda.
Hansda was nabbed from the Dumri Police Station area of Giridih district. He also had an award of Rs 15 lakh on his head. Police were on the lookout for him for the last several years and following a tip-off he was caught and Rs 2 lakh which was collected as a levy was recovered from him.
