Ranchi: The students of classes XI and XII are getting free medical and engineering coaching while continuing their higher secondary studies through the Akanksha scheme being run by the state government. The fruits of this effort of the government are also visible as in 2021, 4 students have been selected in JEE Advance after getting coaching from Akanksha.
One student got selected in IIIT, one student got selected in BIT and one student got selected in AIIMS. Under this scheme of the government, so far 269 students have taken engineering, 280 students have taken free coaching for medical preparation. Under the Akanksha scheme free residential coaching facility, study material and a child-friendly learning environment for engineering and medical entrance exam preparation are provided.
The Jharkhand Academic Council conducts a state-level selection test for class XI students for admission to Akanksha residential coaching and admission for Akanksha Kendra located in Ranchi.
Excellent faculty is available in Ranchi and the Coaching is provided at Akanksha Kendra in District School, Ranchi building. Initially, 40 students were selected for the engineering batch and 40 for medical, which has now been increased to 75 for medical and 100 for engineering.
Coaching is also provided along with the education of classes XI and XII to the selected children. Students have been provided with a competitive environment, free textbooks, free accommodation, computer education and the best coaching facility in the center and tab to every student.
Under the scheme, there is a plan to provide free residential NTSE and Olympiad coaching to 100 children of classes VIII to X on the DIET campus located at Ratu.
There is a plan to provide CLAT and NDA coaching to 50 students of class XI and 50 of class XII for enrollment in law college. All these students will be provided with free textbooks, free accommodation, computer education and the best coaching facilities and other facilities.
