Mumbai: Actress Ankita Lokhande revealed she has a “double reason to smile” as both her mother, Vandana, and her husband, Vicky Jain, are celebrating their birthdays today.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Ankita posted a heartwarming photo of her mother and husband from their wedding day, captioning it, “Double reason to smile today!”
She extended birthday wishes to what she called “the two people who hold the most special corners” of her heart.
“Wishing the happiest birthday to the two people who hold the most special corners of my heart — my mumma and my Vicky. So grateful for both of you today and always,” she wrote.
Ankita and Vicky tied the knot in December 2021 in a lavish ceremony at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt. The couple also made headlines for their turbulent stint on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 17.
Most recently, the couple participated in the second season of the culinary comedy reality show Laughter Chefs Fun Unlimited, where they were paired together. The show also featured Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Vaidya, Karan Kundrra, Nia Sharma, Reem Shaikh, Sudesh Lehri, Elvish Yadav, Rubina Dilaik, Aly Goni, and Kashmera Shah. It was hosted by Bharti Singh and judged by chef Harpal Singh Sokhi.
Elvish Yadav and Karan Kundrra were crowned winners of the season.
Following the show’s conclusion, Ankita and Vicky shared a heartfelt video and gratitude note on Instagram, thanking the channel and their fellow participants.
In the video, Vicky thanked the channel for having them, while Ankita expressed that she would miss Laughter Chefs, which had become like an extended family.
Their joint note read:
“This one’s a long one, and it’s coming from both of us... Firstly, a big thank you to all the audience who loved and appreciated the show so much. Your love has been felt and it truly keeps us going."
They continued, “Secondly, thank you @colorstv and Sheetal Ma’am for giving us an extended family we didn’t even know we needed...”
They named their fellow contestants and added, “Only we know how much fun, chaos, and love we’ve shared on and off camera.”
