The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for 16 attacks across Balochistan between October 7 and 12, alleging that dozens of Pakistani security personnel were killed and several others injured in operations targeting military convoys, checkposts and Coast Guard vessels.

In a statement issued on Monday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group carried out a series of operations involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs), sniper fire and attacks on security convoys. The group also claimed to have blocked highways and targeted individuals it accused of working with Pakistan's military.

The casualty figures and details of the attacks were based on the BLA's claims and could not be independently verified.

Among the incidents reported by the group was an October 10 attack on a Pakistani military convoy in the Panchi area of Panjgur district. The BLA claimed that four personnel were killed and several others injured, with two military vehicles directly targeted.

On the same day, the group's aerial and drone warfare unit, known as QAHR, allegedly ambushed a vehicle carrying military operatives in Qila Abdullah. The BLA claimed that three people were killed and more than seven injured. According to its statement, the vehicle was heading towards a location following a drone strike on a camp the group described as a base for a state-backed armed unit.

In a separate incident in the Gishkaur area of Awaran district on October 10, the BLA claimed that two operatives belonging to an alleged state-backed armed group were killed and two others wounded. It also reported casualties among Pakistani military personnel but did not provide a figure.

The group said its fighters carried out further attacks on October 11 in the Chotank area of Manguchar, targeting personnel clearing a road, commercial vehicles and a military convoy. It claimed that two military personnel were killed and several others injured.

The BLA also reported an attack on Pakistani forces providing security to convoys in the Gwarkop area of Awaran on the same day. On October 12, it claimed that a soldier stationed in the Kalghali area of Basima was killed in a sniper attack.

The group's statement also detailed an October 8 operation against Pakistani forces at the Hamza Ghar checkpost in the Pir Umar area of Khuzdar district. The BLA claimed that its fighters subsequently targeted bomb disposal personnel with an IED while they were moving on foot.

According to the group, one Pakistani security personnel was killed and two others injured in the operation. It further claimed that the checkpost was destroyed after the forces withdrew.

### BLA claims deadly attack on Coast Guard boats

One of the most significant claims concerned an alleged maritime attack in Jiwani, a coastal area of Gwadar district, where the BLA said 13 Pakistan Coast Guard personnel were killed.

The group's spokesperson said its maritime wing, the Hammal Maritime Defence Force (HMDF), launched a coordinated assault on two large Coast Guard boats on October 11, killing 13 personnel at the scene. The claim could not be independently confirmed.

The BLA portrayed the incident as evidence of its expanding operational reach, arguing that its activities now extended beyond land-based targets to maritime security assets.

The group also accused Pakistan and its allies of exploiting the Balochistan coastline through commercial projects, trade activities and militarisation, alleging that these developments were harming local fishing communities and their livelihoods.

Warning of further attacks, the BLA said it would continue targeting maritime movements, supply routes and military assets along the coast.

Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province by area, has experienced a long-running insurgency involving separatist militant groups and Pakistani security forces. The BLA is among the principal groups involved in the conflict and has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks on security personnel and other targets.

The latest claims, if substantiated, would indicate attacks across several districts and on both land and maritime targets. However, independent confirmation of the reported casualty figures and the full extent of the operations remains necessary.
