Opposition in Jharkhand draws confidence from performance in Maharashtra and Haryana

Ranchi: Despite the BJP managing to hold on power in Maharashtra emerging as the single largest party in Haryana the opposition parties in the state including the JMM and the Congress have drawn heart from the performances in these two states and maintained that people can not be misled for long.

Leader of Opposition and acting president of JMM Hemant Soren said that the results of the elections clearly show that despite the use of money and muscle power couple with advertisement bombardment the people can not be misled for long.

He said that the results were also an indication that the impact of economic slowdown, unemployment and poor condition of farmers has started impacting the homes. 

He said that the use of money and administration in Jharkhand is a reflection of the anguish of Chief Minister Raghubar Das and said that the battle in Jharkhand would be between those who want to loot the state and those who have fought for the state.

He said that the ground reality in Jharkhand was very painful and the people have already made up their minds for change. JPCC chief Dr Rameshwar Oraon said that the results of both states as blow the air out of the development ballon of the BJP. He said that the people of both states did not give mandate as per the expectations of the BJP leaders as local issues became dominant in the election.

He said that in the name of development only money from the government exchequer was used for advertisement on development. He said that the election results of both the state have given a clear indication that local issues will be dominant in elections in Jharkhand.

He said that the Raghubar government has not fulfilled any of the promises which it had made to the people and condition was bad in health care, education, agriculture and law and order scenario.
