After Centre, Jharkhand slashes price of diesel by Rs 2.50

Ranchi: After the Center, the state government has now decided to give a discount on diesel. In this regard, Chief Minister Raghubar Das has asked the state government to give a rebate of 2.5 rupees to the tax on diesel. In this regard, instructed the Commerce Tax Secretary K. Khandelwal to take necessary action.

Earlier in the day at a press conference, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced cut in the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.50 per litre. He said that the cut will be effected through slashing of excise duty to the tune of Rs 1.50 per litre, while the oil marketing companies will absorb the impact to the tune of Re 1 per litre.
