India's Young Talent Can Drive the Next Wave of Global AI Innovation, Say Experts

Dalian (China)- India's growing pool of skilled young professionals and its rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem could position the country as a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), experts said during the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions, popularly known as the Summer Davos.

Speaking to IANS on the sidelines of the event, Vivek Vyas, Co-Founder of Intuitive AI, said artificial intelligence is increasingly being used to solve practical challenges, including making cities cleaner and more sustainable through smart waste management.

The Canada-based company has developed AI-powered waste management solutions that help process and dispose of waste in an environmentally responsible manner. Its smart waste management system is designed for use in high-traffic public places such as airports, railway stations and shopping malls.

Highlighting AI's impact on scientific research, Dr. Hermann Tribukait, Co-Founder and CEO of Atinary Technologies Inc., said the technology is helping researchers speed up scientific discoveries and make research and development more efficient.

"AI is transforming scientific research by accelerating R&D and helping scientists discover solutions faster," Tribukait told IANS.

He said faster innovation could lead to major breakthroughs in areas such as healthcare, clean energy and other fields that directly improve people's lives.

Tribukait stressed that the development of AI and science should remain focused on serving humanity.
